Confined Space Entry

Didsbury Engineering is a leading supplier of equipment used for working in confined spaces, and with our expertise has designed specific equipment for working safely in confined spaces.

Many workspaces contain areas that are considered a “confined space” although they are not designed necessarily for people, they are large enough for workers to enter and perform certain jobs.  A confined space is substantially enclosed on all sides, difficult to get in or out of, small and/or difficult to work in and not designed for continuous occupancy.

Confined spaces include, but are not limit to, fuel tanks, chambers, storage bins, silos, manholes, sewers, tunnels, etc.; a place not usually considered a confined space might become one. They can be dangerous, especially when dealing with deadly gases, dangerous chemicals, and other potentially life-threatening hazards.
